Roof Repair Smedway built its Roof Leak Repair division around one idea: homeowners in Dundee deserve a straight answer, a fair price, and a truck in the driveway fast.
Long before Roof Repair Smedway had a website, our lead foremen were already climbing ladders across Dundee, NY, learning which underlayment holds up against humidity and which fastener pattern actually survives a coastal gust line.
Licensing and insurance aren't a line item we mention once and forget — we keep documentation current and available on request, because a homeowner signing off on a Roof Leak Repair project deserves proof, not a promise.
We've seen what happens when a roof gets "good enough" instead of done right — the drywall stains, the mold behind the insulation, the second call nobody wanted to make. Our Roof Leak Repair teams build to avoid that call entirely.
Every lead technician carries current state credentials before stepping on a ladder.
Emergency lines stay staffed through nights, weekends, and holidays.
No surprise charges once the crew is already on your roof.
Local crews already know the weather patterns and permit offices in Dundee, NY.
By the time water is visibly dripping into a room, the damage underneath the surface has usually been developing for a while.
If your downspout discharge looks like sand, the UV-protective coating on your shingles is breaking down faster than it should.
Shingle edges that curl upward have usually lost flexibility, which makes them far more likely to crack or blow off in the next storm.
Visible light through the roof deck is a direct sign the barrier between your attic and the weather has been compromised.
Sagging drywall or a soft spot underfoot in the attic usually points to sustained moisture damage, not a one-time drip.
If upstairs rooms feel noticeably warmer than the rest of the house, a failing roof system is a common hidden cause.
Missing shingles expose the underlayment, which is only designed as a temporary secondary barrier, not a long-term surface.
We break our work into distinct service lanes because a wind-lifted ridge cap and a full tear-off need completely different crews, materials, and timelines.
When high wind or hail peels back a section of roofing, our on-call crew tarps the exposed area to stop active water intrusion before it reaches the decking, then schedules the permanent repair.
Every residential estimate walks the homeowner through material options, from standard architectural shingles to impact-rated upgrades.
We schedule commercial jobs around business hours whenever possible, minimizing disruption to tenants, staff, or foot traffic.
Old, layered shingle systems often need a full tear-off rather than an overlay, and we'll tell you honestly which one your roof actually needs.
A thorough inspection checks flashing, fasteners, ventilation, and granule loss — the small issues that turn into major leaks if left alone.
If a roof has an unusual pitch, an older material system, or a custom architectural feature, our senior crews handle the scoping personally.
A dispatcher takes down your address, roof type, and the issue, then routes it to the nearest available crew in Dundee, NY.
The inspection covers decking condition, flashing points, and ventilation, not just the obvious problem area.
You receive an itemized, written estimate before any work begins, covering materials, labor, and disposal.
A final walkthrough confirms the repair or install meets the agreed scope before the invoice is closed out.
Response windows are communicated upfront, not left as a vague "sometime this week."
We'd rather lose a job over an honest price than win one with a lowball number that grows later.
Our installers train on manufacturer specifications for shingles, underlayment, and flashing systems, not just general carpentry.
If something about the finished work doesn't meet the agreed scope, we come back and make it right.
Our estimates are itemized in a format most carriers recognize, which speeds up claim approval.
Our technicians explain the reasoning behind every recommendation so you're deciding with full information, not a sales script.
We put our workmanship guarantee in writing on every job, so if something about the completed work doesn't match what was agreed, we send a crew back at no extra charge.
Material substitutions or unexpected decking damage found mid-job are always discussed with you first — we don't add line items after the fact and hope you don't notice.
Roof Repair Smedway dispatches Roof Leak Repair crews to Dundee and the surrounding communities throughout Dundee, NY, with additional coverage available on request for properties just outside our standard radius.
Dispatch routes are planned around Dundee's actual neighborhoods and access roads, not a generic radius drawn on a map, which is part of why our arrival estimates tend to hold up.
